The need for quality, affordable mental health services is a real and growing need in our community. For more than 60 years, Ozarks Counseling Center, a proud United Way Agency, has been makihg counseling affordable for the working poor, uninsured, underinsured and underserved of our area. Offering a sliding fee scale that is based on income, we do not turn anyone away for inability to pay.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit agency, Ozarks Counseling Center was started in 1952 as the Greene County Guidance Clinic, working primarily with children. In the 1960s, our mission expanded to include families of children served, and today we work with individuals, couples, families and children, offering play therapy for kids as young as 3. In addition to our sliding scale, we are able to take Medicaid for children, Medicare and private insurance. Along with quality mental health counseling services, we also offer a court-approved parenting class for couples going through divorce or changes in custody; an anger management program; and supervised visitation.
